Zinely Companion — Privacy Policy
Zinely Companion is a browser extension for staff of agencies that use the Zinely operations console (zinelycrm.com). It shows a small panel on fanvue.com with context the staff member's agency already stores in Zinely: their clock-in state, notes about the fan whose chat is open, accounts waiting on a reply, and the account's price list. It is an internal work tool, distributed unlisted; it only functions after a staff member pairs it with their existing Zinely account.
Data the extension handles
- Pairing token. Created when you pair the extension using a code
from your Zinely account. Stored locally in your browser
(
chrome.storage.local) and sent only to zinelycrm.com to authenticate your requests. You can remove it at any time from the extension popup ("Unpair"), and your agency administrator can revoke it server-side. - Page context on fanvue.com. The extension reads the
@handletext visible on the page — the account you are acting as and the handle of the open chat — and sends those handles to zinelycrm.com to look up context your agency already stores. - The fan's profile panel, when you ask for it. When a staff
member opens a fan's profile in the panel and presses the button to sort
it, the extension also reads three things Fanvue shows on that fan's own
profile sidebar, and sends them to your agency's console so they can be
turned into structured notes:
- the fan's nickname field;
- the fan's Notes — the notes your own staff have written about him on Fanvue;
- Fanvue's Chat summary, where one has been generated. This is written by Fanvue's own AI and summarises the conversation, so it can describe and quote what was said.
- What it still does not read. The extension does not read, store, or transmit the message thread itself, message media, or any other page content. Conversation material reaches your console only by way of the Chat summary described above, and only when a staff member asks for it.
- Notes you write. Notes you type into the panel are sent to and stored in your agency's Zinely console, attributed to your staff account — the same as writing them in the console directly.
- Panel preferences. Panel position and which sections are open/collapsed are stored locally in your browser and never leave it.
What the extension does not do
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising of any kind.
- No data is sold, and no data is shared with any third party. The only server the extension talks to is zinelycrm.com — your agency's own Zinely console.
- No browsing history is collected. The extension runs only on fanvue.com and reads nothing on any other site.
- No remote code. All code ships inside the extension package.
Data retention
The pairing token lives in your browser until you unpair or your administrator revokes it. Notes and flags you save are retained in your agency's Zinely console under your agency's own data-handling policy, the same as data entered through the console itself.
Limited Use
The use of information received through this extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
